Chef Joyce de Cuba - Hüsken, originally from Amersfoort, the Netherlands, is the one behind the fire at Yemanja WoodFired Grill.
She began her culinary arts studies at only 14 years old. Her passion became her profession when she had the opportunity to share the kitchen in restaurants like: Restaurant 'de Houtrust' in Hooglanderveen; Bilderberg Hotel 'de Klepperman' in Hoevelaken; Bilderberg Hotel 'Kasteel 't Kerckebosch' in Zeist; Restaurant 'De Kanstanjehof' in LageVuursche; Restaurant 'Broers' in Utrecht and Restaurant 'De Baron' in Naaldwijk. At 26 Joyce moved to Aruba and after some experiences with other local restaurants, like 'the Flying Fishbone' she quickly took over Yemanja's kitchen. Now, Joyce is a happy kite surfer and passionate chef, responsible for the dining experience of many visitors to Aruba. As the owner of one of the greatest restaurants in Aruba, she does what she was born to do, and delights your palate at Yemanja six nights a week.
